Stargazing, Polar Bear Plunge: 4 Fun Events To Check Out This Weekend In Ocean County

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — The weather may be frigid, but that won't stop people from jumping into the ocean to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights is one of the fun events to look forward to this weekend in Ocean County.

Indoor Rummage & Vendor Sale

40 Bey Lea Road, Toms River

Bright Harbor Foundation is hosting this sale from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 22. Shop or register as a vendor to help raise funds for mental health services. Find more details here.

Polar Bear Plunge

Seaside Heights

Jump into the frigid ocean water on Feb. 22 to help raise funds for and support Special Olympics New Jersey athletes. Thousands participate, and even more watch. If you can't make it in person, a livestream will be shared. See details here.

Brick's Birthday Bash

Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick

Celebrate 175 years of Brick with music, games, activities and more on Feb. 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event is free and all are invited.

Night Of The Stars

Jakes Branch County Park, Beachwood

Join A.S.T.R.A., The Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area, to stare at the stars from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 22. Club volunteers will help point out constellations and planets, even if you don't have your own telescope. No registration is required for this free event.
