Accessible Playground Being Installed At Mill Creek County Park

The accessible playground, expected to be completed next month, will feature an area for younger kids and an area for older kids.

BERKELEY, NJ — It's out with the old and in with the new this spring at Mill Creek County Park, with the installation of a new, accessible playground just around the corner.

The Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department shared updates on several county parks Wednesday as they move to upgrade several old playgrounds and replace them with inclusive playgrounds that children of all abilities can enjoy.

The old equipment has been removed at Mill Creek and is currently closed. This week, the updated accessible playground will start being installed, county officials said.

Surfacing will be rubber and accessible for all ages and abilities, officials said.
