Authorities Identify Bicyclist Killed In Bayville On Saturday
The man died when his bike and a van collided on Forest Hills Parkway

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has identified the Bayville man killed on Saturday afternoon when his bike collided with a van on Forest Hills Parkway.
Gilbert Truedsson, 76, Bay Boulevard, died from his injuries at Community Medical Center in Toms River at 3:17 p.m., said Al Della Fave, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
The accident happened at 2:32 p.m., just east of the Veterans Park entrance. The bicyclist apparently turned from the shoulder of the roadway into the passenger side of a 2015 Chrysler Town and County van driven by Harold Bennett, 85, Lanoka Harbor, Della Fave has said.

"Mr. Bennett remained on scene and exhibited no signs of impairment," Della Fave said. "He did not have a cell phone at the time of the crash. Additionally, a witness traveling behind Bennett's vehicle remained on scene and corroborated how the accident took place."
