Bayville Man Found Laying In Car Charged With Drunk Driving

Berkeley police recently arrested a Bayville man for drunk driving after they found him unresponsive laying in a car in the Quick Check parking lot off Route 9 in Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

When Sgt. Jason Malley, Detective Joseph Santoro and Patrolmen , Warren Black and Jonathan Mulvihill arrived at 9:54 p.m. on June 15, they found Christopher Norfolk, 34, Louis Avenue, inside his car, the chief said.

He was arrested after an investigation and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was taken to Berkeley Township police headquarters, then later released under John's Law guidelines. The case is pending a future court date, DiMichele said.
