Bayville Woman Charged With Drunk Driving After She Was Found Unresponsive In Car

Incident occurred in Frankie's Pizza parking lot off Route 9, police chief says

Berkeley Township police recently charged a Bayville woman with driving while intoxicated after they found her sitting unresponsive in her car in the parking lot of Frankie's Pizza recently, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Sgt. William Cullen and Patrolmen Shawn Bowens, Scott Rudolph and Alexander Houle responded to the parking lot of Frankie’s Pizza on Route 9 on a report of an unresponsive female sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot at 8:55 p.m. on June 14, the chief said.

Carolyn Rendinelli, 51, Timberline Road, was found in the driver's seat, with the keys in the ignition and the engine running, the chief said.

She was charged, processed and released under John's Law guidelines. The case is pending a future court date, DiMichele said.
