Bayville Woman Charged With DWI After Multiple Accidents

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ A Bayville woman who struck two utility poles, two parked cars and a mailbox is facing drunk driving and a host of other charges, police said.
Kelly L. Ingram, 37, Serpentine Drive, was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, driving while suspended, driving as an uninsured motorist, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle after the Aug. 28 accident, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichael said.
Patrolman Timothy Pizzella and Patrolman Richard Zieser responded to the 400 block of Trenton Avenue to investigate a reported motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle into a utility pole. They found a 2013 black Ford Taurus that had slammed into the utility police with heavy front end damage, the chief said.

Pizzella reported that the driver had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath as she spoke to him, along with other signs of impairment, she said.
Ingram was processed at police headquarters and later released to the care of a family friend. Her vehicle was impounded as per John's Law.
