Berkeley Cops Investigating Copper Theft At Pheasant Drive Home

The interior of the vacant house was vandalized when someone spray painted the walls, police chief says

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Berkeley police are investigating the theft of copper piping from an vacant home in the 100 block of Pheasant Drive, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Officers responded to the home on Aug. 30 on a burglary report. They were told that someone entered the house through a rear window and stole the piping. The interior of the home was also vandalized when someone spray painted the walls inside.

Officers canvassed the area for witnesses, suspects, and further evidence and found nothing, the chief said.
