Berkeley Police Charge Bayville Woman With Dollar Tree Assault

Incident occurred on Aug. 10 at the store on Route 9

Berkeley police recently arrested a 69-year-old Bayville woman after she assaulted another customer at the Dollar Tree store at 333 Route 9 because she cut in front of her while she was standing in line, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolmen Jonathan Mulvihill, Alfred Foca and Daniel Williams responded to the store at 3:01 p.m. on Aug. 10 on an assault report. After an investigation, they arrested Barbara Weil of Asbury Avenue, the chief said.

Weil was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and charged. She was released on a summons pending a future court date, DiMichele said.
