Berkeley Police Seize Multiple Bricks Of Heroin At Apartment Complex, Two Arrested

Two Bayville women arrested and charged with possession and distribution of heroin, police chief says.

Berkeley police recently charged two township women for distributing heroin throughout the Bayville area, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Berkeley Township detectives raided an apartment at 33 Korman Road in the Shady Oaks apartment complex on Aug. 7, with the assistance of the Ocean County Regional SWAT team, after receiving numerous complaints about narcotics activity, the chief said.

"As in this case, tips from concerned citizens were invaluable," she said.

Police seized multiple bricks of heroin package for resale, along with cash suspected as proceeds from illegal drug sales, DiMichele said.

They arrested Shantell White, 22, and Tracey Denbleyer, 52, both of Korman Road, at the scene. They were both charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to distribute, the chief said.

Both women were processed and released in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.

Detective Michael Tier was the case investigator. He was assisted by Detective Sergeant Peter La Rocca, Detective Joseph Santoro, Detective Michael Riccardelli, Detective William Somers , Patrolman Edward Hendrickson as well as Ocean Gate Sergeant Vincent La Rocca.
