Caught On Camera: Beachwood Police Arrest Two For Vandalizing
Playground equipment and recreation building sprayed with orange spray paint, police chief says
BEACHWOOD, NJ - Beachwood police have charged two juvenile males with criminal mischief after public works employees discovered that several pieces of playground equipment and the recreation building had been defaced with orange spray paint, Police Chief Robert Tapp said.
Patrolman Dennis Allen responded to the park at 7:30 a.m. on July 12. The follow-up investigation by Detective Sergeant Daniel Altman identified two male juveniles, ages 15 and 17, by reviewing video surveillance footage, the chief said.
The juveniles were taken into custody on July 13, then released to their parents. Juvenile complaints and borough ordinance violations will be lodged, pending a municipal court date.
