Central Regional Special Olympians Earn 9 Gold, 5 Silver Medals
Athletes competed in snowshoe races and the Unified 4x100 relay in the NJ Special Olympic Winter Games.
Central Regional's Special Olympics Winter Games athletes and Unified Partners just brought home plenty of hardware. The team earned nine gold and five silver medals this week at the New Jersey Special Olympic Winter Games in Mountain Creek.
Athletes competed in the 100-meter snowshoe race, 200-meter snowshoe race and the Unified 4x100 relay.

- Victoria Gries: 1 bronze, 1 fifth-place medal
- Darrin Charles: 2 gold, 1 silver
- Joe Capoziello: 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 fifth-place medal
- Tommy Swift: 2 sixth-place medals
- John Meola: 1 gold, 2 fourth-place medals
- William Green: 1 gold, 1 fifth-place medal
