Central Regional Special Olympians Win Medals At Winter Games

BERKELEY, NJ — The Central Regional Special Olympians and Unified Partners brought home plenty of hardware from the Winter Games.

Here are the results and medals awarded, according to the Central Regional Family Facebook page:

• Joe Capoziello: gold (200 meter), gold (400, for the fourth straight year)
• Darrin Charles: silver (200), fifth (100)
• Shane Erickson: gold (100), silver (200)
• Ryan Daley: bronze (100), bronze (200)
• Tommy Swift: silver (100), bronze (200)
• Jeremy Todd: silver (100), fourth (200)
• John Meola: silver (100), bronze (200)

4x100 relay teams:

• Gold medal: Shane Erickson, Jeremy Todd, Ava Varano, Allie Bentley
• Silver medal: Darrin Charles, Tommy Swift, Alyssa Duffy, Maddie Giovenco
• Participation medal: Joe Capoziello, Ryan Daley, John Meola, Kelsey Corbett

Central Regional Family also thanked coach Patty Fortus and Terry Wyman.
