Coastal Ocean County Beach Report For July 3, 2017
Sunny skies, low rip current risk make for a great beach day ahead.

The National Weather Service is calling for another beautiful beach day today.
Skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 80 degrees. Winds will be from the west at about 5 miles per hour, becoming south in the afternoon.
There's a low risk of rip currents today, but they can still occur near jetties and other structures. Always swim near lifeguards and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests bringing a flotation device with you in the water.

Waves will be from 2 to 3 feet, with southerly swells around 2 feet. The water is still a chilly 64 degrees.
The ultraviolet index is a 10. It doesn't get any higher than that, so don't forget the sunscreen. Ther is no lightning threat today.

Low tide at Barnegat Inlet will roll in at 10:28 a.m. High tide will arrive at 4:42 p.m., followed by another low tide at 11:07 p.m.
