Dangerous, Life-Threatening Conditions Today At Ocean County Beaches
National Weather Service issues high surf advisory and high risk of rip currents for today, stay out of the water

OCEAN COUNTY - No swimming today, anywhere. Red flags will be flying up and down Ocean County beaches today due to turbulent ocean waters.
The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory into Wednesday morning. Waves will be from 6 to 8 feet high, with easterly swells of 5 to 7 feet. The ocean water temperature is 74 degrees.

"A high risk of rip currents means dangerous and life-threatening conditions exist for all people entering the surf," the NWS said. "People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf."
Skies will be cloudy today with rain and temperatures in the low 70s. Winds will be from the east at 20 to 25 miles per hour

The ultraviolet index is a 2, which the NWS considers low. There is no lightning threat.
Low tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 8:12 a.m. High tide will arrive at 2:25 p.m., followed by another low tide at 8:58 p.m.
