Deer Bow Hunting Season At Double Trouble Runs Through Jan. 31

Visitors are advised to wear bright clothing on weekdays and Saturdays and stay within safety zones.

BAYVILLE, NJ - Visitors to Double Trouble State Park this month should be aware that deer bow hunting season will run through the end of January.

Hunting is permitted in the park outside of the safety zones, which include the Historic District and the cranberry bogs, according to the park's Facebook page.Visitors should know that the Swordens Pond and Dover trails are also outside of the established safety zones.

There is no hunting allowed at the park on Sundays.

Hunters and trappers should be especially alert for other park visitors, hikers, dog walkers, geocachers, horseback riders and canoe and kayak paddlers who may not be family with the designated safety zones, the page states.

Various types of deer hunting at the park begin in late September and run through the end of January.
