Elizabeth 'Liz' Russo Of Bayille Dies at 59

Services will be held in Bayville on Thursday.

Elizabeth “Liz” Russo died peacefully on July 5 after a heroic battle with carcinoid cancer.

Raised in Bayville, New Jersey, Liz graduated from Central Regional High School and the Katharine Gibbs School of Business. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and recently retired from Toms River High School East.

Liz lived her life fiercely, and loved golfing, tennis, the beach, gambling, and spending time with her children. Liz also adored her grandnieces and spent much of her time playing and laughing with her “Kady.”

Liz never let cancer get in the way of doing these things and was truly a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed by all, but her warmth, courage, and zeal for life will live on in her loved ones.

Liz is survived by her loving children, Alexandra Russo and her fiancée, Erica Pehrsson, of St. Louis, Missouri, Nicholas Russo of Madison, New Jersey, and Michelle Russo of Toms River. Liz is also survived by her three sisters, Mary-Lou Accardi and her husband Carlo, Louise Kelly and her husband Roger, and Theresa Hardie, her nephew and godson, Chad Toughill, nieces Jessica Glasser, Rachel Hardie, and Meredith Hardie, and grandnieces Kadence Glasser and Olivia White.

Services will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Atlantic City Blvd (Rt 9) in Bayville, NJ.
