Expect Flooding, Wind Gusts In Winter Storm: Berkeley OEM
While Berkeley residents should expect mostly rain from the upcoming storm, gale force winds and moderate coastal flooding are in store.

BERKELEY, NJ — The Office of Emergency Management is urging Berkeley residents to take precautions ahead of a winter storm expected to start Monday evening.
Coastal Ocean will be under a Wind Advisory Tuesday and all of Ocean County is under a Coastal Flood Warning as of Monday morning, according to the latest information from the National Weather Service (NWS).
Starting Monday evening and into Tuesday, residents can expect the following conditions, per the OEM:

- 1"-1.5" of rain with light snow mixed in
- Gale Warning along the coast with high winds and gusts that may reach 40-50 mph
- Moderate flooding along coastal streets and roads
- Tides:
- High 10:08 a.m. High 10:40 p.m.
- Low 4:09 a.m. Low 4:35 p.m.
- Temperatures in the mid to upper 30s with a wind chill in the 20s
"These conditions could affect your morning and evening commute," the OEM said. "Please drive carefully."
Residents are also encouraged to bring in or tie down any loose items, like garbage cans.
