Fundraiser Planned For Ocean Gate Firefighter Battling Cancer

The Ocean Gate Fire Dept. has organized a fundraiser on Saturday, July 10 to benefit Ron Smith, an Ocean Gate firefighter battling cancer.

OCEAN GATE, NJ — The Ocean Gate Fire Department has organized a fundraiser on Saturday, July 10 to benefit Ron Smith, an Ocean Gate firefighter battling cancer.

The fundraiser will be held at Fubar, the outdoor bar of Bill’s BBQ Shack at 140 Atlantic City Blvd from 2 to 7 p.m.

There will be gift auctions, a 50/50 raffle and a BBQ buffet. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Smith family.

The Ocean Gate Fire Department has also organized a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Smith and his family, which includes his wife and four children, while he undergoes treatment at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
