GoFundMe Account Set Up For Berkeley Boy Badly Injured In Dirt Bike Accident
Boy's dirt bike and a Chevy Blazer collided at Johnson's Pit on Sept. 17.
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ -Friends of Ethan Knapp and his family are asking people to contribute to a GoFundMe account set up for the boy who was severely injured in a dirt bike accident at Johnson's Pit in Bayville on Sept. 17.
Ethan was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center after the accident. Police have said the boy's dirt bike and a 1993 Chevy Blazer collided that afternoon.
He suffered two broken legs, a broken hip and a severe concussion and has already had several surgerises.

"He has a few more surgeries to go but is making progress," the GoFundMe page states. "He will have a long road of recovery ahead and a lot of doctor bills. Please help him and his family out in this tough time. Every dollar helps."
The goal for the GoFundMe account is $50,000, So far, $3,775 has been raised. If you want to donate, click here.

Tony's Pizza in Bayville has pledged to donate 25 percent of the Oct. 4 proceeds to help with expenses. Before you order, please mention your purchase is for Ethan. The restaurant is located at 340 Route 9 in Bayville.
The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley police department's traffic bureau, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, she said.
