Guadagno Swamps Competition, Gets Ocean GOP's Nod In Race For Governor
GOP uses county voting machines to tabulate the votes.

Members of the Ocean County Republican Organization have overwhelmingly endorsed Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno for the upcoming gubernatorial election, according to app.com.
“Tonight is the end of a very short exercise,” Guadagno said Wednesday night. “The next battle begins now. The next battle is not a fellow Republican — never has been, never will be. The next battle is against the Democrats who think they have already bought the Statehouse."
Guadagno received 153 votes, compared to state Assembyman Jack Ciattarelli, who received 8 votes. Her other two competitors, Joseph Rudy Rullo, received 6 votes and Hirsh Singh received 1 vote, respectively. Rullo and Singh have never held public office.

The GOP organization used voting machines that were shipped in from the Ocean County Board of Elections and through a process supervised by Ocean County Clerk Scott M. Colabella.
Guadagno said she hopes Ocean County will deliver 80 percent of the vote for her and asked for volunteers to help with her campaign.
