BERKELEY, NJ — July 29 was the deadline for candidates to file to run for their local board of education in New Jersey.

In Berkeley, seven people have filed to run for two open seats for the Central Regional Board of Education. And in the Berkeley Township Board of Education, three have filed for three open seats.
