Hot Dogs Galore: Wunder Wiener Returns, New Doo Wop Dogs Truck Come To Bayville
Der Wunder Wiener is almost back. And Doo Wop Dogs has entered the game.
BERKELEY, NJ — It's a great time to be a hot dog fan in Bayville. Two hot dog stands, one an old classic and the other a new favorite, will soon both be operating.
The first is news that residents have literally waited years to hear - der Wunder Wiener is almost back.
WOBM reported that Bayville's favorite hot dog stand will hold a grand opening on June 11 at its new location. This date might sound familiar - it's the fifth anniversary of the accident that took it away.

After being destroyed in a crash that severely injured owner Gerald LaCrosse, Wunder Wiener will now be located at 108 Atlantic City Blvd., in the vacant lot between Blackbeard's Cave and Fuller Marina.
In just a few weeks, you could be chowing down on one of Wunder Wiener's iconic Italian hot dogs or steaks.

If you don't want to wait that long to enjoy a hot dog, though, Doo Wop Dogs is a new stand that's already open across from Shady Rest at 821 Atlantic City Blvd.
Owner Cheryl Lee spent 20 years with her truck in Edison, but the commute proved to be too much when she moved down to Holiday Heights.
The stand serves hot dogs with about 10 different toppings, kielbasa, barbecued pulled pork, chips and various drinks, she told Patch.
The "doo wop" aspect comes from Lee's lifelong obsession with "Betty Boop" - she's actually related to her creator - and the stand plays 1950s doo wop music.
She said she's excited to bring her hot dogs to Bayville, and to meet "a whole new family of friends and customers."
Her truck will be open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
But how many hot dogs are too much for one town? These two spots can't be compared, each serving hot dogs in different styles. So hot dog lovers should check out both Wunder Wiener and Doo Wop Dogs, supporting two local businesses while enjoying a tasty bite.
