Island Beach State Park Is Open, Free As Coronavirus Hits NJ
Looking to get outside? Island Beach State Park is open with no entrance fee.

ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK, NJ — Want to get outside while staying a safe distance from others? Island Beach State Park is open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day with no entrance fee.
New Jersey state parks and forests remain open to the public for hiking and other passive recreation. But the State Park Service has closed all park restrooms and buildings and canceled all upcoming events and camping reservations through April 30.

Access to the beach for mobile sport fishing will also be limited from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The following passes will allow you access for mobil sport fishing:
- a current 2020 Mobile Sport Fishing permit
- a Mobile Sport Fishing permit from 2015-19
Temporarily permits, including free disabled-veteran permits, will be available over the phone beginning Wednesday. Call the park office at 732-793-0506 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
