Lacey Boy's Bike Stolen From Middle School

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Think your bike is safe locked up outside a school? Think again.
Someone stole a Lacey Middle School student's bike from the bike rack at the school on Denton Avenue in Forked River recently, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Brian Holt responded to the school at 5:36 p.m. on Jan. 19 on a bicycle theft report. The boy told police he rode his bike to school in the morning and locked in the bike rack, the chief said.

He returned to the rack after his sports practice and found the bike missing. The bike is a black and red mountain bike with straight handle bars.
The total value of the bike is estimated at $150, the chief said.
