Monmouth County Beach Report: Choppy Surf, A Moderate Risk Of Rip Currents On Tap For Today

Waves of 3 to 4 feet are expected.

Even thought the sun is shining right now, the National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies later and isolated showers at Monmouth County beaches.

The rip current risk is still moderate. Don't swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night. Most beaches are not guarded after Labor Day, but you can still find a few that are. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you when going in the water.

Waves will be from 3 to 4 feet, with southeasterly swells of 3 to 4 feet. The ocean water temperature is 70 degrees.
