New Bulk Pickup Policy For Berkeley In 2025
Berkeley Township is changing from quarterly bulk pickup in 2025.
BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township is instituting a new bulk pickup policy for 2025. Instead of quarterly bulk pickup, it is now done on-demand, according to Director of Sanitation & Recycling Shawn Thomas.
The township shared a letter from Thomas on social media announcing the changes.
To schedule bulk pickup, call 732-349-4616. An employee will schedule the pickup for the day after your next trash collection. If the schedule is full, it will be set for the following week.

Items are not to be placed at the curb until 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. Only items called in will be picked up.
Note that there is no charge for normal bulk items that do not fit in your trash.

The cleanout policy is unchanged. If you are doing a cleanout or if your pile exceeds four feet wide, four feet high and eight feet long, you will be charged $250.
