New Puerto Rican Spot Holds Soft Opening In Bayville
El Gordo Coqui on Atlantic City Boulevard is serving a limited menu of different empanada varieties ahead of its grand opening.
BERKELEY, NJ — Hungry for something different? A Puerto Rican eatery is now open in Bayville, operating with a limited menu ahead of a grand opening planned for early September.
El Gordo Coqui is located at 271 Atlantic City Blvd., where the Chubby Unicorn Donut Shop was before closing suddenly last year.
The new restaurant, whose sign outside says "Puerto Rican fusion," posted on Facebook that they would be serving a limited menu for now. The plan is for a grand opening the second week of September, owners said.
