No Contests In 2017 Berkeley Board of Education Election

Three running unopposed for the three, three-year terms on school board.

Barring any massive write-in votes, the three candidates who filed petitions for the available slots on the Berkeley Board of Education have already won their seats, according to the Ocean County Clerk's Office.

There are three, three-year terms available on the board this year.

Those who filed include Jennifer M. Bacchione, 3 Albatross Place, Bayville. Her husband, John, is a member of the Berkeley Township Council and a former Berkeley Board of Education member.

Incumbent Thomas Guarascio, 17 Grouse Road, Bayville. Guarascio is serving as board president this year.

Incumbent David Ytreboe, 153 Manhattan Avenue, Bayville. Ytreboe is serving as board vice president this year.

John MacMoyle, 460 Northern Boulevard, Bayville, is running unopposed for the one-year unexpired term.

The Berkeley Township school district consists of four elementary schools.
