There's A Slight Chance Of Showers And Thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today with highs in the mid 80s with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Winds will be from the southwest at around 10 miles per hour, switching over to the south at 20 miles per hour in the afternoon.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents today. Check with your local beach patrol for trouble spots. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water.

Waves will be choppy at 3 to 5 feet, with southerly swells of 2 to 3 feet. The ocean water temperature is 77 degrees.
The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. The lightning threat today is low, which means there is little chance of thunderstorms.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 8:45 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 3:02 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:03 p.m.
