Ocean County Beach Report: Choppy Surf, Moderate Rip Current Risk On Tap For Today

Many beaches are unguarded after Labor Day, so make sure you find a guarded one if you want to swim.

The National Weather service is calling for mostly sunny skies today, but rough surf at Ocean County beaches.

Highs today will be in the lower 80s, with southwest winds from 15 to 20 miles per hour.

There's a moderate risk of rip currents today. Don't attempt to swim on an unguarded beach. There are still some towns that have lifeguards on duty. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device in the water with you if you are planning on swimming.
