Minor Tidal Flooding Is Possible Tonight, National Weather Service Says

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies at Ocean County beaches today with a moderate risk of rip currents.
So you can go to the beach, just don't look at the sun during the time of the eclipse today. The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers high. So bring the sunscreen. There is no lightning threat today.
Always swim within sight of a lifeguard and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you always have a flotation device with you in the water.

Highs today will be in the lower 80s. Winds will be from the west at 5 miles per hour, becoming south in the afternoon.
Waves will be around two feet, with light swells. The ocean water temperature is 77 degrees.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 7:55 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 2:12 p.m., followed by another high tide at 8:15 p.m.
