Ocean County Beach Report: Sunny Skies, Dangerous Rip Currents
Waves will be from 4 to 5 feet high, National Weather Service says

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies, cool temperatures and dangerous rip currents today.
You can still work on your tan, but stay out of the water. There's a high risk of rip currents. That means life-threatening conditions exist for anyone who decides to swim.
"People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf," the NWS says.

There are still beaches that will be guarded this weekend, but you'll have to search to find them. Island Beach State Park is guarded this weekend. Whatever you do, don't swim on an unguarded beach. Never swim alone or at night.
Waves will be from 4 to 5 feet, with southeasterly swells of 3 to 4 feet. The ocean water temperature is 72 degrees. Winds will be from the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour

Highs today will be in the lower 70s. The ultraviolet index is a six, which the NWS considers high. There is no lightning threat today.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet will roll in at 10:25 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 4:56 p.m., followed by another high tide at 10:50 p.m.
