Ocean County Beach Weather Report: Rough Seas, High Risk Of Lightning

The National Weather Service is calling for a high risk of lightning today and a moderate risk of rip currents.

There's a moderate risk of rip currents. Swim only on guarded beaches, if you can find any and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water.

Waves will be around 5 feet high, with southerly swells around 4 feet. , The ocean water temperature is 73 degrees.

The ultraviolet index is a 3, which the National Weather Service considers moderate.
