Ocean County Beach Weather In A Word: Beautiful

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 miles per hour, becoming southwest in the afternoon.

There's a low risk of rip currents today, but rips can still occur at near jetties and other structures. Always swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a floation device with you when you head into the surf.

Waves today will be 3 to 4 feet, with southeast swells of three feet. The ocean water temperature is a balmy 77 degrees.

The ultraviolet index is an 8, so bring the sunscreen. There is no lightning threat today.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 6:07 p.m. Low tide will arrive at 12:19 p.m., followed by another high tide at 6:30 p.m.
