The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today with slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Highs today will be in the mid-80s. Winds will be from the northeast at arround 5 miles per hour, switching over to the southeast in the afternoon.

The rip current risk is moderate, so be careful. Check with local beach patrols before you go in and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you always bring a flotation device with you when you go in the water.

Waves will be 3 feet high with southeast swells of around 2 feet. The ocean water temperature is 78 degrees.
