Rehab Patient Sentenced For Groping Nurse At Berkeley Facility
Authorities say David Taber touched the nurse's breast and tried to pull down her pants when she was giving him his meds.
BERKELEY, NJ — A patient at the Crystal Lake Rehabilitation Facility was sentenced to county jail after he groped a nurse who was trying to give him medication there, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
David Taber, 67, will spend 120 days in Ocean County Jail as a condition of probation after he was found guilty of criminal sexual contact, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced.
On March 22, 2023, shortly before 7 p.m., the female nurse was trying to give medicine to Taber, Billhimer said.

Taber touched the nurse's breast without her consent, placed her in a bear-hug and then tried to pull down her pants, Billhimer said. A co-worker intervened and separated the two.
He was found guilty on March 5, 2025, after a nearly week-long jury trial, Billhimer said.
