UPDATE: Point Pleasant Police Arrest Two Brick Men In Home Invasion
Apartment's occupants were home at the time of the thefts, break-in was targeted, police say.
Point Pleasant police recently arrested two Brick Township men and charged them with a home invasion that took place in an apartment on Bridge Avenue recently, Capt. Robert Lokerson said.
Detective Joseph Hynes arrested Steven Carpenter, 24, Herkimer Road, and William Reeves, 29, Schindler Drive on July 6. Both men were charged with terroristic threats, robbery, criminal mischief, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose ( a knife and screwdriver) and unlawful possession of a weapon, Lokerson said.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on June 20, when two white males forced their way into the occupied apartment and took items. They left in a silver four-door vehicle, he said.

"The initial investigation revealed that this was an isolated incident and the apartment was specifically targeted," Lokerson said.
Both men are lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, pending a detention hearing.
