Area Police Departments Prep For St. Patrick's Day Parade In Seaside Heights This Weekend

A massive traffic enforcement will be in place along Route 35 and Route 37.

Officers from a number of area police departments will conduct traffic enforcement details on Route 35 and Route 37 on March 11, to deal with the heavy traffic expected from the Seaside Heights St. Patrick's Day parade, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said.

The detail perimeters include Route 35 from Seaside Park Borough to Point Pleasant Beach and Route 37 from Seaside Heights to Manchester. The initiative includes 10 Ocean County municipalities that intersect with Route 35 and Route 37.

"This initiative is a pro-active effort to prevent accidents and address traffic violations following the Seaside Heights Saint Patrick's Day parade on the identified detail highways," Coronato said."This safety action will be addressed through three critical components - engineering, education and enforcement."
