Police Report Theft Of $100,000 Worth Of Copper Piping From Baywick Place
Piping was stolen over the past several months, police chief says.

Berkeley Township police are investigating the theft of $100,000 in copper piping from a store in the Baywick Plaza on Route 9 in Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Sgt. Damon Papa and Patrolmen Michael Connell and John Houghkirk responded to the plaza at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 on a report of a burglary and theft.
They spoke with the plaza owner who told them he was having maintenance done on an air conditioning unit in one of his vacant stores. He discovered that a majority of the copper piping in the building had been cut out and stolen, the chief said.
