Popular Bayville Restaurant Closes Its Doors
Bad news for Grub City fans. But it seems the location won't be empty for long.

BERKELEY, NJ — It's sad day for those who enjoy going to Grub City and enjoying one of Joe Alonzo's delicious Tucson chicken sandwiches. The popular restaurant closed its doors permanently this week, according to an Instagram post.
"Grub City would like to thank all our patrons through our two years in business," Alonzo wrote. "But unfortunately, we had to close our doors today."
The economy hit the restaurant hard, he said.

What's next? It's not confirmed, but it seems that Big Dogs Café in Toms River is getting ready to open a second location where Grub City was. Google lists "Big Dogs Café II" as being located at 242 U.S. 9 in Bayville, which is the same address as Grub City.
The restaurant, which serves hot dogs, burgers, milkshakes and more has been teasing a new Bayville location on its Instagram. So with any luck, the location won't remain empty for long - but the loss of Grub City is a big one for Bayville.
"We are sorry, stay well, everyone, and live one day at a time and enjoy every day," Alonzo wrote. "Because life is a blessing. Thank you to all our Grubsters."
