Popular BBQ Spot To Close Its Doors In Bayville

Smokes Craft BBQ announced the closure of its Bayville location on social media, but their Toms River store will stay.

BERKELEY, NJ — A popular barbecue eatery is closing its doors in Bayville, but fans of the restaurant will still be able to enjoy their offerings at their second location.

Smokies Craft BBQ announced that it would be closing its store at 333 Atlantic City Blvd. via Facebook on Wednesday. Their last day will be Dec. 15.

"Sad day but not at the same time," the Facebook post reads. "We made a bunch of new friends along the way!"

They recently opened a second location in Downtown Toms River, which will be open seven days a week beginning Dec. 16.

"One door closes but another one opens! Always remember that!" Smokies Craft BBQ said. "Our future is still bright."

The eatery opened its doors in Bayville in 2021, serving up traditional barbecue dishes, like brisket, ribs and chicken, plus sandwiches, burgers and salads.

Smokies Craft BBQ boasts that everything is made fresh in-house, with no processed meats or premade foods.

It was once named among the best BBQ restaurants in the state by Best in NJ.
