Rough Surf, Dangerous Rip Currents Forecast For Today At Ocean County Beaches
National Weather Service says dangerous and life-threatening conditions exist.

Although the skies may be mostly sunny today, you could be risking your life if you go swimming on Ocean County beaches.
The National Weather Service says there's a high risk of rip currents today, which means that dangerous and potentially life-threatening conditions exist for anyone who goes in the water.
"People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf," the NWS says.

Waves will be from 5 to 6 feet, with southeasterly swells of 4 to 5 feet. The ocean water temperature is 76 degrees.
Highs today will be in the lower 80s. Winds will be from the north around 5 miles per hour, becoming southwest in the afternoon. The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat today.

Low tide at Barnegat Inlet will roll in at 9:17 a.m. High tide will arrive at 3:30 p.m, followed by another low tide at 10:23 p.m.
