Power Out, Route 9 In Bayville Backed Up Due To Traffic Accident

Motorists traveling on Route 9 in Bayville should expect delays between Harbor Inn Road and Serpentine Drive, according to an Ocean County Sheriff's Department Nixle alert.

Those sections of the roadway are blocked off due to a traffic accident.

Jersey Central Power & Light crews are on the scene to deal with damaged transmission pole, which will result in a temporary forced outage, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.

Roughly 249 residents will be affected in the Floral Avenue-Lily Street area for less than an hour, the mayor said.
