BERKELEY, NJ — July 28 was the deadline to file for candidacy in the Nov. 4, 2025 school election, and several have filed to run for the Berkeley Township and Central Regional boards of education.

Berkeley Township has four seats up for grabs this fall; Central Regional has three. All are for three-year terms.

Three incumbents are running for re-election at Central Regional. For Berkeley Township, six candidates will face off for four seats, three of which are incumbents.

Residents will also be casting their votes for township council members. Four seats are open: one in each of the township's wards.

School board elections are nonpartisan, though candidates can run under a slogan.
