Showers And Thunderstorms Expected At Ocean County Beaches Today
Temperatures will only be in the upper 70s.

The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies with showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Highs will only be in the upper 70s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The lightning threat is high.
The rip current risk is low today. But rips can still occur near jetties and other structures. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water.

Wave heights will be from 3 to 4 feet, higher than earlier this week, with southeast swells around 2 feet. The ocean water temperature is 74 degrees.The ultraviolet index is a 6, which the NWS considers high.
High tide will roll in at 11:38 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 6:02 p.m, followed by another high tide at 11:58.
