Snow Suspends Trash Pick-Up In Berkeley: Here's Where

Trash pick-up for a few Berkeley neighborhoods is switching from Saturday to Monday thanks to impending snow.

BERKELEY, NJ — Don't bother setting out your garbage cans tonight. Thanks to the impending snow, Berkeley is moving Saturday's trash pick-up to Monday.

The news was sent out in a Nixle alert Friday afternoon, ahead of the storm that's set to bring up to four inches of snow to Ocean County. Read more: Winter Weather Advisory: When Will Snow Arrive In Ocean County?

"Due to inclement weather and the anticipated requirement for road crews to clear and salt township roadways, holiday trash scheduled for pick up tomorrow will be suspended," the Berkeley Township Office of Emergency Management said.

Trash and recycling pick-up will resume Monday. If it doesn't get picked up Monday, leave it out and it will be picked up Tuesday, officials said.

"We apologize for the interruption in service and thank you for your cooperation," officials said.

  • Holiday City @ Berkeley
  • Neighborhoods east of Route 9
    • Holly Park
    • Glen Cove
    • Cedar Run Area
    • Berkeley Shores
