Body Of Lacey Man Found In Barnegat Bay: State Police

The body of a Lacey man was found in Barnegat Bay on Monday morning after his watercraft was recovered a day earlier, State Police said.

BERKELEY, NJ —The body of a Lacey man was found in Barnegat Bay on Monday morning after his watercraft was recovered a day earlier, State Police said Friday.

Authorities found Gregory Young, 36, just before 7 a.m. Monday in the water off Roberts Avenue in the South Seaside Park section of Berkeley.

Young’s unmanned watercraft had been recovered Sunday about 60 yards from the Island Beach State Park Marina.

Station 45 and 44 of the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company announced that they assisted the State Police and U.S. Coast Guard with the investigation.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. for Young, of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey, at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home in Toms River.
