Sunny Skies Today At Ocean County Beaches, But Watch For Rips
Waves will be around three feet high, considerably lower than Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today at Ocean County beaches, but there's still a moderate risk of rip currents.
The high will be around 80 degrees, with northeast winds around 10 miles per hour, switching to the east in the afternoon. The ultraviolet index is a 9, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat today.
Before you go in the water, check with your local beach patrol about possible trouble spots. Manasquan lifeguards pulled 14 people from the surf yesterday. Always swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you before going in the water.
