'Trick Or Trunk' Sets Return In Berkeley

The township is seeking families and groups to decorate their cars and provide treats for children in Berkeley.

BERKELEY, NJ — The annual "Trick or Trunk" is set to return to Veterans Park in Bayville on Oct. 29, Mayor Carmen Amato and Berkeley Recreation announced.

Berkeley Township kids from kindergarten to eighth grade can head to the park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to get plenty of tasty Halloween treats.

Officials are inviting families to attend, as well as asking families, groups and businesses to decorate their trunks for the event and provide treats for about 800 to 900 kids. Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated.

If you are not decorating a car, the township asks that you donate a minimum of one bag of candy so that all kids can enjoy treats.

Berkeley Recreation is also seeking candy donations. They can be dropped off at the Rec Center in Bayville any time between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
