Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Ocean Gate Market

OCEAN GATE, NJ -Whoever strolled into the Ocean Gate Market yesterday and bought a Jersey Cash 5 jackpot lottery ticket walked out $742,327 richer, according to the New Jersey Lottery Commission.

One lucky ticket matched all five numbers from the June 29 drawing for the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot. The winning numbers were: 26, 27, 28, 33 and 35 and the XTRA number was: 03. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Ocean Gate Market, 216 Ocean Gate Ave., Ocean Gate in Ocean County.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Ocean Gate Market," Executive Director Carole Hedinger said. "The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

There were 688,601 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 103 ticketholders won $590 each and 12 others won $1,770 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 4,026 ticketholders won $16 each and 487 others won $48 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly, 6,374 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
